No ACT/SAT? No way!

Just this past week, some colleges and universities are updating their admissions requirements with some BIG NEWS.

For students who stress about the ACT/SAT (and, who doesn’t?), they will be relieved to know that more private colleges and public universities such as Auburn, The Citadel and University of South Carolina have confirmed that they are either:

a) Making the submission of ACT and SAT scores optional

OR

b) Not requesting them AT ALL. . . Meaning those scores will not be included in your application

For a complete list of colleges and universities that are choosing one of the two above pathways, please visit FairTest’s website: https://fairtest.org/university/optional/state.

According to this list, over 1500 U.S. bachelor-degree granting educational institutions will not require the ACT/SAT from nearly all of the 2022 high school graduating class. So, if you’re a rising high school senior, take a deep breath! You can find a bit of comfort in the thought that, despite the educational hurdles the pandemic presented, numerous colleges and universities recognize you’re doing the best you can, and want to ensure the application process reflects that.
